The Roots & Renewal project was launched to beautify and green Downtown Hilo through strategic landscaping improvements. This effort included planting native trees and flowers, refreshing sidewalk planters, and maintaining existing greenery to create a more welcoming, walkable, and visually vibrant environment. By investing in our shared spaces, the Downtown Improvement Association aims to foster a sense of pride, support local biodiversity, and enhance the overall experience for residents and visitors alike.
