    Gigi Napoleon is the newly appointed president of the Downtown Improvement Association (DIA) and chair of its Events & Marketing Committee, bringing strong leadership and a clear vision to Downtown Hilo. A Native Hawaiian born and raised in Hilo, Gigi’s deep love for his hometown fuels his passion for revitalization. Under his leadership, DIA hosts beloved events like Black & White Night, First Fridays, and the Hilo Christmas Light Parade—celebrating local culture and supporting small businesses. A former high school sports coach, Gigi is also deeply committed to youth mentorship and community growth. His priorities include improving safety and cleanliness, supporting entrepreneurs, and fostering a vibrant, creative environment that keeps Hilo thriving.

    Ivory Quintel, a dedicated Hilo native, brings a spirit of service and administrative excellence to her candidacy for Secretary.
